Profile
I have always been a friend of the field and the wood, spending most of my spare time enjoying the great out of doors. Even as a young boy I would rather go explore where a brook came from or see what was on the other side of a mountain than to play organized sports. As I got older the contact with my furry and feathered friends took second place to a conventional work environment. Most of my life work has been indoors all the while trying to find the time to be out in the woods listening, touching and watching nature. I'm a self taught photographer always trying to capture the natural beauty that surrounds us if only we take the time to slow down and admire it. At the age of 50, a life long vision was realized when the shackles of a regular (indoor) job were finally broken…. And now free to pursue my passion and art in amongst my friends of the wild. I have won a number of photo and art awards, hung my images in many galleries in Northern New England and show at art festivals during the summer. When not showing off my photos you will find me out trying to capture the next breathtaking shot. You can always tell when there is a new photo adventure in the making, camera at the ready, canoe strapped to the top of the car, and bug dope pocketed. Sidekick, life partner and love, Shirley is ever ready with maps, bird books and loads of encouragement. None of this would be possible without Shirley at my side. We reside in the heart of the strikingly beautiful White Mountains, New Hampshire. Most of my photographs are taken in the northern half of New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine and hang many places worldwide. What a wonderful life this has turned out to be. Byron Fairbrother
Why we sell only unframed prints on line
Your personal preference for framing is likely different from mine, and we
have no way of knowing what styles might complement the decor in which you
plan to display your prints, we do however mat all prints with coordinated
matting and mount them on a backing, this also helps protect the print in
shipping. Therefore, we only sell unframed prints on line. This keeps the
print prices low, greatly reduces shipping costs, and lets you frame your
prints to your liking. However, bear in mind that quality framing, especially
for large prints, is not cheap, so consider these costs as well as the print
costs when choosing print sizes. We do have our photographs framed and hanging
in our own gallery as well as a number of galleries in the area (See galleries
and partners page). We also display a large selection of our photographs at
fine art festivals and craft fairs throughout New England.
Money-back Guarantee
If you are unsatisfied with any print you have ordered from me, and I cannot
resolve the problem to your satisfaction, simply return the print and I will
refund your purchase price. You pay the return shipping cost, and the prints
must be returned in new condition (I recommend that you reuse the shipping
container). If your prints arrive damaged, contact me for replacements. (Special
order prints are not covered by the money-back guarantee; ask for details
when we talk.)
